Working definition
Silver Teaming™ is a human centered adversary simulation methodology that uses realistic red team tactics, techniques, and procedures to evaluate an organization while simultaneously developing its employees as active defenders.
Unlike an exercise focused only on whether an attacker can achieve an objective, Silver Teaming deliberately creates fair and observable opportunities for employees to recognize, question, challenge, verify, report, or interrupt suspicious activity.
Every engagement should include at least one meaningful defender win and should use successful defensive behavior as something to reinforce, not merely something that got in the operator’s way.
